the internet sucks
Third week of being here, and my apartment still doesn't have internet. Actually, we've had internet since day one, just no access to it. The modem has been sitting in my room since my roommate and I moved in, but our landlord neglected to give us the AC adepter for it. The apartments next to us all have password protected internet; the nearest open connection only has one bar of reception at good times (from only one room of our place).
I thought I would be more productive being separated from the internet, but it doesn't seem so. Instead of squandering my time browsing the same 10 webpages over and over again, I spend the same amount of time watching poor programming on the TV.
In fact, it seems the only drawing I do without the internet is in class:
